Producers should be able to choose the default video layout for their livestreams on their own.
We imagine the ideal way to address this requirement would be as follows:
While creating or editing one or multiple SWITCHcast events, the producer selects the appropriate live streaming video player with the default layout that should be displayed to the live stream viewer. To support this requirement, the live streaming server and all SWITCHcast live players would need to support dual video streams.
example 1: the producer or org admin configures the default live-player (proposed by SWITCHcast) when creating or editing events. Layout: Presentation (big) and presenter (small) picture by picture
example 2: In case the lecturer will not present anything, the producer would pre-select a live player for the SWITCHcast event(s) that only shows the presenter video by default. The viewer could still adjust the layout when watching the live-stream; for instance, when the lecturer would do a presentation spontaniously.
example 3: if the lecturer wants to have presentation only with audio transmitted trough the live-stream, the producer would choose the appropriate live stream player with supressed presenter video. In this case, the viewer could only adjust the size of the presentation video.
